Most known for their 1995 breakthrough debut American Standard and iconic single “Cumbersome” (which receives significant airplay to this day), Seven Mary Three has maintained success since and will bring their ever-evolving sounds to Southland Park.

Fans of Seven Mary Three, as well as fans of “Cumbersome” alone, will no doubt be treated to a large helping of introspective songwriting from front-man Jason Ross along with sides of his indistinguishable voice and the impressive catalog of songs the band has amassed over their 15 year career.

Eddie Vedder, Natalie Maines to perform at LR benefit for Echols

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and the Dixie Chicks' Natalie Maines will perform at a benefit show in Little Rock in support of 3 Arkansas men convicted of the 1993 deaths of 3 West Memphis boys.

Supporters of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley say Vedder and Maines will perform Aug. 28 at Robinson Center Music Hall in Little Rock, with proceeds from the show to benefit the legal fund for the so-called West Memphis Three. Tickets are $25.

Echols was sentenced to death for the 1993 deaths of 8-year-olds Christopher Byers, Michael Moore and Stevie Branch. Baldwin and Misskelley both received life sentences. But supporters of the men say they're innocent, even though their convictions have been upheld by the Arkansas Supreme Court.

10th heat death logged in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas health officials say a tenth person has died from heat-related illness.

The state Health Department cautioned Monday that hot weather is expected to continue into September and that a drop in temperatures this week is not enough to consider the danger over.

A heat advisory remained in effect Monday for the southern third of Arkansas.

The Health Department hasn't released the locations of the people who died from the heat.
