The Mid-South is dealing with it's second round of winter weather in as many weeks.

Fortunately, this round is not as significant as the last round. Snow is blanketing much of the Action News 5 coverage area Thursday afternoon but snowfall amounts are much less than last time.

In an effort to expedite cardiac care for patients in the community, Crittenden Regional Hospital has partnered with area Emergency Medical Services, Hospital Wing and Methodist University Hospital to open a Chest Pain Center.

The Chest Pain Center’s protocol-driven, systematic approach to patient management ensures treatment for those presenting with chest pain during the critical early stages.

Mid-South states are starting plans to build another bridge across the Mississippi River.

Tennessee Department of Transportation representatives say the project, called Southern Gateway, is important to keep freight moving through the area while decreasing traffic congestion.
