Police: Nearly nude woman draws unruly crowd on Beale | Crime

(WMC-TV) – Live music is typically the star of the show on Beale Street, but police say a West Memphis woman’s lewd activity drew quite a crowd on the famous street over the weekend.

Officers say they watched as Twyla Ware stood in the middle of a crowd near the intersection of Beale Street and South Third and raised her dress.

Investigators say the crowd snapped pictures and shot video as the 29-year-old exposed herself.

“Beale Street was overly crowded with thousands of people and (Ware) only added to the hysteria by exposing her private parts for all to see,” according to court records.

Police arrested Ware for indecent exposure, but her troubles became even worse when officers checked her record. Ware was also wanted on a pair of felony warrants.
