Lawmakers consider changes to lottery scholarships | News
(WMC-TV) – Arkansas lawmakers are looking to change how lottery scholarships are awarded in the state.
This year about 13,000 Arkansas high school graduates received lottery-funded scholarships. That's up six percent from last year and education officials expect that number to grow as applications are still being processed.
Legislators say they have a plan to rework the formula for rewarding scholarships. That discussion will likely take place in hearings leading up to the regular legislative session that starts in January.
