Federal government helping county fight crime | News
(WMC-TV) - The federal government is sending more money to law enforcement agencies in Crittenden County.
The nearly $73,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice was announced by members of the state's congressional delegation Thursday.
The money, which was provided through Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant JAG Program, will be used to purchase equipment and supplies.
In all, 6 counties will receive funding totaling just more than $575,000.
Pulaski County received the bulk of the federal funding.
