Schools bill to keep pants off the ground passes | News
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The House has approved a bill that would require schoolboys to keep their pants off the ground.
The bill by Rep. Tracy Steele of North Little Rock passed Thursday on a 73-19 vote.
Steele says he filed the bill after repeatedly hearing constituents complain that schools are inconsistent in enforcing dress codes. Steele's bill would require school districts to ban clothing that exposes the underwear or buttocks, or the breast of a female.
The bill now goes to the Senate.
